Iccevaį¹ phandano issaį¹, isso ca pana phandanaį¹Thus the tree and the lord, and the lord and the tree
AƱƱam-aƱƱaį¹ vivÄdena, aƱƱam-aƱƱam-aghÄtayuį¹.With each other quarrel, and each other destroy.
Evam-eva manussÄnaį¹ vivÄdo yattha jÄyati,So it is with men, wherever a quarrel starts,
MayÅ«ranaccaį¹ naccanti, yathÄ te issaphandanÄ.They dance the peacock dance, like the lord and the tree.
Taį¹ vo vadÄmi, bhaddaį¹ vo, yÄvantettha samÄgatÄ,I say this to you, hearken, all assembled here,
Sammodatha mÄ vivadatha, mÄ hotha issaphandanÄ,Be friendly, don't quarrel, be not like lord and tree,
SÄmaggim-eva sikkhetha, Buddhehetaį¹ pasaį¹sitaį¹,Train in peace, this is praised by the Awakened Ones,
SÄmaggirato dhammaį¹į¹ho, yogakkhemÄ na dhaį¹sati.Delight in peace, righteousness, safety will not be destroyed.
