āsabboyaį¹ maƱƱe saį¹
gho sÄ«tÄ«katoāti. āItās as if the whole Sangha is cooled.ā This is a play on words in the Pali. The Pali word here translated as ācooledā, sÄ«tÄ«kata (literally, āmade coolā), is similar to sÄ«tibhÅ«ta, ābecome coolā, an epithet for arahants, āperfected onesā.
Ye te bhikkhÅ« appicchÄ ā¦pe⦠te ujjhÄyanti khiyyanti vipÄcentiāThe monks of few desires complained and criticized him,

āna, bhikkhave, buddhaį¹ vÄ dhammaį¹ vÄ saį¹
ghaį¹ vÄ Ärabbha davo kÄtabbo. āMonks, you should not joke about the Buddha, the Teaching, or the Sangha.
Yo kareyya, Äpatti dukkaį¹assÄāti. If you do, you commit an offense of wrong conduct.ā
Atha kho bhagavÄ taį¹ bhikkhuį¹ anekapariyÄyena vigarahitvÄ dubbharatÄya ā¦pe⦠After rebuking that monk in many ways, the Buddha spoke in dispraise of being difficult to support ā¦

Final ruling
āNa surusurukÄrakaį¹ bhuƱjissÄmÄ«ti sikkhÄ karaį¹Ä«yÄāti. āāI will not slurp while eating,ā this is how you should train.āā
