ā€œValāhakakāyike vo, bhikkhave, deve desessāmi. ā€œMendicants, I will teach you about the gods of the thundercloud host.

Taį¹ suį¹‡Ätha. Listen ā€¦

Katame ca, bhikkhave, valāhakakāyikā devā? And what are the gods of the thundercloud host?

Santi, bhikkhave, sītavalāhakā devā; There are gods of the cool thunderclouds,

santi uį¹‡havalāhakā devā; warm thunderclouds,

santi abbhavalāhakā devā; stormy thunderclouds,

santi vātavalāhakā devā; windy thunderclouds,

santi vassavalāhakā devāā€”and rainy thunderclouds.

ime vuccanti, bhikkhave, ā€˜valāhakakāyikā devāā€™ā€ti. These are called gods of the thundercloud host.ā€
