āYaį¹ patthayÄno dhammesu, My mentor helped me to learn,
upajjhÄyo anuggahi; hoping I would practice those teachings.
Amataį¹ abhikaį¹
khantaį¹, Aspiring to freedom from death,
kataį¹ kattabbakaį¹ mayÄ. Iāve done what had to be done.
Anuppatto sacchikato, Iāve realized the Dhamma,
sayaį¹ dhammo anÄ«tiho; witnessing it for myself, not based on hearsay.
VisuddhaƱÄį¹o nikkaį¹
kho, With purified knowledge, free of doubt,
byÄkaromi tavantike. I declare it in your presence.
PubbenivÄsaį¹ jÄnÄmi, I know my past lives,
dibbacakkhu visodhitaį¹; my clairvoyance is purified,
Sadattho me anuppatto, Iāve realized my heartās goal,
kataį¹ buddhassa sÄsanaį¹. and fulfilled the Buddhaās instructions.
Appamattassa me sikkhÄ, Being diligent in the training,
sussutÄ tava sÄsane; I learned your teachings well.
Sabbe me ÄsavÄ khÄ«į¹Ä, All my defilements are ended;
natthi dÄni punabbhavo. now thereāll be no more future lives.
AnusÄsi maį¹ ariyavatÄ, You advised me in noble observances;
Anukampi anuggahi; sympathetic, you helped teach me.
Amogho tuyhamovÄdo, Your instruction was not in vainā
AntevÄsimhi sikkhitoāti. I, your pupil, am fully trained.
