Kimilattheragāthā Kimbila (2nd)

“Pācīnavaṁsadāyamhi, In the Park of the East-Raftered Hall A Prācīnavaṁśa was a hall or shed built for the ritual, with bamboo (vaṁsa) beams running easterly (prācīna; Śatapatha Brāhmaṇa 3.1.1.6 and Eggeling’s note).

sakyaputtā sahāyakā; the Sakyan friends, This is a reference to MN 31:2.1 = MN 128:8.1, where Anuruddha, Kimbila, and Nandiya were practicing together in this grove.

Pahāyānappake bhoge, having given up great wealth,

uñchāpattāgate ratā. are happy with the scraps in their bowls.

Āraddhavīriyā pahitattā, Energetic, resolute,

Niccaṁ daḷhaparakkamā; always staunchly vigorous;

Ramanti dhammaratiyā, having given up mundane delights,

Hitvāna lokiyaṁ ratin”ti. they enjoy the delights of the Dhamma.
