“Na ve anatthakusalena, Surely not with one who misunderstands the meaning The brewer’s apprentice ruins a batch of toddy due to misunderstanding the instructions.
atthacariyā sukhāvahā; does good conduct lead to happiness.
Hāpeti atthaṁ dummedho, The simpleton destroys the good,
koṇḍañño vāruṇiṁ yathā”ti. as Koṇḍañña did the toddy.
Vāruṇidūsakajātakaṁ sattamaṁ.
