6. DevadhammajÄtaka Godly Qualities: a past life story
āHiriottappasampannÄ, Endowed with conscience and prudence, The story tells of how two brothers are asked by a water-spirit what are āgodly qualitiesā. Their repliesāāthe sun and moonā and the āfour directionsāāwin them only imprisonment. The third brother replies correctly.

Santo sappurisÄ loke, the good and true persons in the world
devadhammÄti vuccareāti. are said to have godly qualities. Devadhamma (āgodly qualitiesā) appears at Ja 458:7.3 where it means āgodās characterā.
