Katamehi, paƱcahi? What five?

Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu asekhena sÄ«lakkhandhena samannāgato hoti, asekhena samādhikkhandhena samannāgato hoti, asekhena paƱƱākkhandhena samannāgato hoti, asekhena vimuttikkhandhena samannāgato hoti, asekhena vimuttiñāṇadassanakkhandhena samannāgato hoti. It’s when they have the entire spectrum of the adept’s ethics, immersion, wisdom, freedom, and knowledge and vision of freedom.

Imehi kho, bhikkhave, paƱcahi dhammehi samannāgato bhikkhu āhuneyyo hoti …pe… anuttaraṁ puƱƱakkhettaṁ lokassāā€ti. A mendicant with these five qualities … is the supreme field of merit for the world.ā€
