āPaƱcahi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannÄgato bhikkhu Ähuneyyo hoti pÄhuneyyo dakkhiį¹eyyo aƱjalikaraį¹Ä«yo anuttaraį¹ puƱƱakkhettaį¹ lokassa. āMendicants, a mendicant with five qualities is worthy of offerings dedicated to the gods, worthy of hospitality, worthy of a religious donation, worthy of veneration with joined palms, and is the supreme field of merit for the world.
Katamehi paƱcahi? What five?
Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu sÄ«lasampanno hoti, samÄdhisampanno hoti, paƱƱÄsampanno hoti, vimuttisampanno hoti, vimuttiƱÄį¹adassanasampanno hoti. Itās when a mendicant is accomplished in ethics, immersion, wisdom, freedom, and the knowledge and vision of freedom.
Imehi kho, bhikkhave, paƱcahi dhammehi samannÄgato bhikkhu Ähuneyyo hoti pÄhuneyyo dakkhiį¹eyyo aƱjalikaraį¹Ä«yo anuttaraį¹ puƱƱakkhettaį¹ lokassÄāti.
